Our client, a dynamic public practice accounting firm in Kelowna, BC, is on the lookout for a skilled Senior Accountant with three to five years of experience to join their expanding team. As the firm has grown significantly in recent years, they now support a diverse range of clients across industries including professional services, manufacturing, construction, restaurants, retail, automotive, and agriculture.

- Preparation of compilation and review engagements;
- Preparation of corporate, personal and trust tax returns;
- In some cases, conducting full-cycle bookkeeping including preparation of GST, PST, WCB returns; and
- Working closely with the team to assist clients with their accounting and tax planning needs.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of accounting experience including preparation of compilation engagements, corporate and personal tax returns;
- Experience in review engagements is not necessarily required but it would be considered an asset.
- Accounting diploma and/or a combination of education and experience will be considered; a professional accounting designation is not required;
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as Sage, QuickBooks, CaseWare and Profile or other tax software;
- Strong computer literacy including MS Office Suite; exceptional Excel skills;
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities;
- The ability to handle data with confidentiality and integrity;
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively;
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking, with a positive disposition;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment;
- Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills.
In addition to a robust benefits package, the base salary for this position is anticipated to be $70,000 - $78,000 annually and will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
